Description:
The aim of the workshop is to familiarize scientists (internal and external) with the following advanced imaging systems and the underlying technical background of these technologies. After a series of seminars (on Monday afternoon), researchers can try-out all on the technologies with an own sample: LightSheet 7, Lattice LightSheet, Lattice SIM (ELYRA7/SIM 3), Lightfield 4D, and image data analysis using Arivis.
All hands-on session are provided with assistance of application experts and product developers, making this a unique opportunity and course format.
Goals:
- Key differences between the individual systems and technologies
- Guidance on selecting the most suitable system for specific sample types to achieve optimal results
- Proposal for a decision-support questionnaire (“Which system should I use?”)
- Tips and best practices for sample preparation
- Strategies for efficient and effective data analysis (parallel to the imaging slots)

Target audience:
Any researcher that is using light microscopy. The course would be of interest to phase of the research projects, or to learn the concepts of the listed technologies.
PhD Students, Post-Docs and Technicians are all welcome to enroll!
Prerequisites:
A solid understanding of microscopy concepts, as thought in the pre-semester Microscopy Course.
Teaching format:
Monday afternoon lectures
The following days, wither on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, the participants are to be involved for the full day with assisted 'hands-on' sessions.
