Description: 
This course covers extensive fields of neuroscience, from molecular, genetic, cellular, circuit, systems, behavioral, evolutionary and computational neuroscience. It contains fundamental concepts and basic knowledge, suitable for students with little background in neuroscience, but also useful for those with neuroscience background through master programs. The structure of the course follows well-known textbook “Principles of Neurobiology” by Liqun Luo, 10 copies of which are available in the library. Students with no background knowledge in neuroscience are welcome but recommended to read a chapter corresponding to each lecture beforehand. Understanding of the contents in this course is prerequisite for the mandatory “Neuroscience Track Core” course in Spring 2023, thus all students who may wish to be affiliated to neuroscience groups should register in this course. Registered students are expected to attend at least 80% of the lectures (more than 19 lectures). In the recitation, students may ask any questions in the topic presented in the week and discuss further with lecturers or teaching assistants.
